The Pursuit of Certainty.

A story about resilience, structure, and what it truly means to build something that lasts.

The Story

The Moment That Changed Everything

I was seventeen when I heard my mother cry for the first time.

My father’s business had collapsed, and overnight, everything we knew disappeared.

That sound… her quiet sobbing behind a thin wall became the moment that defined me.

It was the sound of uncertainty.

And I made a promise that night: I would protect her for the rest of my life.

We left Hong Kong for Vancouver with little money and even less certainty.

I didn’t know the language, the culture, or the rules.

So I learned the only way I could… spending hours in the local library, listening to the radio, and studying the rhythm of English until I could make it my own.

The Turning Point

Wealth gave me comfort, but it didn’t give me peace.

The more success I created, the more chaos I saw, both in my own companies and in those around me.

I realized that growth without structure eventually collapses, and freedom without peace never lasts.

That insight became my philosophy: Certainty.

It’s not about control. It’s about clarity.

It’s the difference between scaling and guessing, between leading and reacting, between chaos and command.

From Entrepreneur to

Enterprise

Over the past two decades, I’ve evolved from chasing opportunity to building infrastructure, from selling expertise to engineering systems that make scale inevitable.

My early years were about mastering influence and communication.

Today, my focus is on creating Certainty, in leadership, in operations, and in wealth.

What began as one business has become a network of ventures spanning AI, SaaS, growth infrastructure, and capital investment, all connected by a single mission:

To help founders lead, scale, and build wealth with

structure, discipline, and clarity.

Today, that philosophy drives everything I do through my ventures, investments, and the movement known as Certainty Capitalism™ – empowering founders to lead, scale, and build wealth with clarity, structure, and confidence.

My work now centers on advising high-performing entrepreneurs, investing in technology and education ventures that embody these principles, and refining the frameworks that turn chaos into control.

The next era isn’t about information, it’s about infrastructure for freedom.

And that’s the world I’m building now.

Jennie:

The Counterbalance

Behind every vision is someone who brings balance.

For me, that’s Jennie.

From the early days to our global ventures, she has been the strategist, the integrator, and the calm in every storm.

Together, we’ve built not just companies, but a philosophy — one rooted in alignment, trust, and shared purpose.

The Collector’s Mind

Away from business and building companies, Dan has a lifelong passion for collecting Marvel and superhero figures, a reflection of the same discipline, nostalgia, and attention to detail that define his work.

What began as a childhood fascination with heroes and storytelling evolved into an appreciation for craftsmanship and art, a reminder that mastery, whether in business or collecting, comes from appreciation as much as ambition.

The Martial Artist

A dedicated martial artist for more than twenty years, Dan continues to practice Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do, and Wing Flow.

Training keeps him grounded in clarity and movement; it brings peace, self-discovery, and the constant reminder that control and flow must coexist.

Many of his business philosophies are drawn directly from martial arts: balance before speed, precision before power, calm before chaos.

These principles form the invisible spine of his work in leadership, systems, and Certainty.

Life With

Cookie and Mochi

At home, Jennie and I are proud paw parents to our two dogs, Cookie and Mochi.

They’re small, fluffy reminders of what really matters — joy, love, and the simple moments that make life meaningful.

No matter how intense a day gets, Cookie’s wagging tail or Mochi’s playful bark can turn everything around.

Giving Back With

Certainty

My mother is a cancer survivor. I lost my mother-in-law to cancer.

That’s why I support Be The Match®, whose mission is to save lives through cellular therapies for blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma.

I believe in a world where treatments are available to everyone, regardless of race.

I’m proud to partner with Be The Match to help make that vision a reality.

I also support the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, helping fund pediatric research and care that brings hope to families facing life-threatening illness.

Because the ultimate purpose of wealth is not accumulation — it’s contribution.

Today

Two decades. Dozens of ventures.

One enduring mission — to help entrepreneurs lead, scale, and

Build Wealth with Certainty

The boy who once heard his mother cry now builds systems that help founders lead with calm, confidence, and control.

Because when you build with Certainty,
you build something that lasts.
